HOW TO VOCAL DIAGNOSE FOR THE PUBLIC SPEAKER
“Voicing is the act of aerodynamic energy (airflow) converted into acoustic energy (sound)
When diagnosing a voice for speech, do a “5 tone A” is substituted by having the client read out loud from a book, simulating a public speaking performance. (they must be in the state they are when actually delivering the speech).
While working on the physical tendencies eg: vocal fold / breath issues we use similar tools as singers voice however we don’t work on the same range vocal range that singers use.
• Will be in the (chest/chest-mix) area , with emphasis on the speakers Optimal pitch/ fundamental Frequencies are based.
• Use 3 tone repeat scales, very simple scales unless the client is musical.
• Use vowel-consonant combinations to find the balance on speech, even applying it to context, words spoken in the speech or presentation.
