Why YOU should perform in front of other people

Performing of any kind can be daunting at first, and that exactly why you should do it. Performing allows you to further your skills, it opens up opportunity and it makes you feel alive. By contributing your performance, you allow others to appreciate your creative skill and the time and effort that it has taken you to get to where you are.

As a Singing Teacher, I always ensure that my students have opportunities to showcase their talents. We have regular shows and concerts where students can perform songs of their choice that we perfect one-on-one in their lessons.

I have incuded a beautiful perfomance by one of my students, Christine Tarquinio. At this year's showcase, held at the Growling Frog golf course, students had the opportunity to perform in front of their family and friends, and the general public showing them the new skills they have mastered in singing and music.

By taking singing lessons, not only are you investing back into yourself, but you are having some 'you' time. It's important to nurture our skills, and we don't all start out as proffessionals. SingOut School offers lessons to people of all ages. Our students range from children to adults, offering singing lessons and music lessons and teaching you how to combine both skill sets to enrich your creative life.

We offer singing lessons to adults, and this is so important for your creative life. Often as children, creative interaction is encouraged, but as we get older work life and the business of everything that makes up your day takes time and energy.

I really encourage adults to take up singing lessons. It fires up parts of your brain that bring you energy and happiness. It literally gives you an 'endorphine rush' and not to mention the new skill set you are installing into your life. Performing is the best way to open up your mind and your art; it broadens and enrichens the artist and the audience.
