Success MindSet Principals for Singers (Part 3)

Have Sensory Awareness

“Nothing happens until something moves.”

Albert Einstein

In NLP and coaching this is called Sensory Acuity and what this means is knowing whether or not you are being effective. This is an excellent way to take a look at what you are doing and decide if you are getting the results or outcomes you want?

Uncovering Your Solution

  • When you are performing,  is your audience responding to you?
  • Is your practice improving your voice?
  • Are your singing lessons giving you the vocal result you are looking for?
  • Are you singing songs that inspire you?

  • Begin by looking at your life and the results you are getting in terms of whether or not you are producing the results that you wanted from those actions.

This is a really important process as there is no point in deciding on an outcome and doing all you can to attempt to achieve it, if those actions aren’t effective.

Without the awareness, or stepping back to say ‘is this getting me the results I am looking for?’  Repeating the same thing over and over again and not getting any change in the result is said to be a sign of insanity!  We need to make a change to something that will cause the rest to change.
